You may be asking yourself just who giig & iggi are, where did they come from, and how did they ever dream up their designs?

Jennifer Gibbs and Helene Ige have been best friends since college who got tired of the same old-same old and decided to tackle the world together.  After five years of working with some of the freshest designers, these two broke out with a daring collection that continues where the other firms stop. With their energy, vision, and some trusty iMac’s, these two collaborate while living on opposite sides of the country.

Helene Ige

From the intricate patterns and delicate materials, to the sophisticated color schemes and sublime form, Helene Ige’s designs reflect her Japanese ancestry, West Coast upbringing, and East Coast training.  Growing up in the multicultural hub of Los Angeles provided the genesis of her creativity, which was nurtured by her mother and then refined at the Parsons School of Design in New York.  She applied her unique aesthetic in the world of fashion before devoting herself to her true calling of furniture and home accessory design.  The result is fashionably functional art that expresses energy, balance, and elegance, while merging retro hip with contemporary chic.

Jennifer Gibbs

Remaining a child at heart, Jennifer Gibbs dedicates herself to creating unique pieces that easily balance the fine line between elegant design and playful art.  Growing up in Philadelphia, Jennifer intuitively realized that there was more to cartoons than a heroic mouse saving the day, and she brought that appreciation for the artistry and elements of design present in children's animation with her to New York’s Parsons School of Design, and later to her positions with top designers in New York and London.  Her use of color and shape in her designs invoke elements of innocence and refinement, resulting in whimsical yet cultivated pieces balanced between a sophisticated aesthetic and a lighthearted giggle.
