Technical Writing  |  Web Content  |  Copy  |  Client List & Samples

"I will make sure to come to you whenever I need anything done. You rock!" -- Jim Ortiz, Job Lighthouse

So, by now you are probably saying to yourself, "okay, so this guy can create scintillating marketing copy, efficient technical documentation, and compelling web content - but what else can he do for me?"

I hear your cry.

The truth is, I can also do the little, overlooked things that many often take for granted at their peril.  You may not think something as minor as a direct mail postcard or a press release is important, but it all reflects on you, and you need a professional writer in order to not come across as a rank amateur.

Lucky for you, I got you covered:

Brochures

Brevity may be the soul of wit, but it is also the secret to effective brochures.  Filled with the flash of eye-popping graphics, the content needs to be razor sharp and lethally targeted.  You often only have a few sentences to identify your services and let the client know why you should be their choice.  One small slip, whether it is a misspelled word or a run-on sentence, is all it takes to land you in the round-file.

Press Releases

Part news, part marketing, part spin, the Press Release is one of the most precariously balanced pieces of content to create.  One has to be effective and targeted, while maintaining integrity and honesty - all in the space of two to three paragraphs. Too much hype, and the message rings hollow.  Too little pizzazz, and it is just another boring shred of paper.  Fortunately, I know the secret of proper balance, and can bring it to bear for you.

Resumes &

Cover Letters

Some wiseguy once said, "You never get a second chance to make a first impression."  Aside from being profound only for its ham-handed subtlety, it does hold a truism.  Particularly in regards to resumes.  The slightest, seemingly most insignificant misspelling or improper use of words can kill even the most highly qualified applicant.  You need to ensure that your resume gets noticed, and I can help - from using results-getting action words, to trimming every bit of fat from your experience.  Check out a before and after sample to see for yourself.

Direct Mail

Hitting your potential client where they live - the nocturnal emission of the marketing & sales set, and the inspiration for direct mail marketing.  While the graphics are the colorful bait that attracts the customer, the content is what will set the hook and allow you to boat that fish.
